HOW CBD WORKS IN PETS
CBD is a non-psychoactive. It stimulates the body’s endocannabinoid system to promote health and wellness.
All humans and pets rely on the this system to regulate immune response. CBD oil is the natural way of regulating the system to maintain balance in our pets. That balance being off is often times what causes anxiety, overly high energy, and other issues in our pets.
WHY USE CBD FOR MY PETS?
CBD can help in numerous ways. From a pets behavior, to joint issues in aging pets, CBD can target many different issues for your pet and help to correct them. The following are some of the most common reasons pet owners use CBD products:
Mobility support, especially in aging pets
Lack of appetite
Pets experiencing anxiousness from separation
Excessive barking in dogs
Nausea from car rides
Stressful car rides or trips to the vet or groomer
Muscle spasms or seizures
Aid in recovery from surgery or illness
Pacing or inability to relax
Fear of thunderstorms, fireworks or other loud noises

IS CBD SAFE?
CBD has been proven to be safe for humans and pets alike. It is recommended that pet owners administer CBD to their pets in small dosages based on the size of the pet. Below are suggested dosages:
10 pounds: 1 mg – 5 mg
20 pounds: 2 mg – 10 mg
30 pounds: 3 mg – 15 mg
40 pounds: 4 mg – 20 mg
50 pounds: 5 mg – 25 mg
60 pounds: 6 mg – 30 mg
70 pounds: 7 mg – 35 mg
80 pounds: 8 mg – 40 mg
90 pounds: 9 mg – 45 mg
If your pet has never taken CBD oil or anything similar in the past, it’s best to start at the lower end. If there are no negative side effects after the first week, the same dosing can be increased to twice a day.
HOW LONG BEFORE CBD HELPS MY PET?
Every pet will respond differently to our products and we recommend starting with a small dosage. Always observe your pet after giving them anything new. In general below is the approximate time it takes to start seeing results from CBD:
Giving CBD directly to your pets mouth – Allow 20-60 minutes
Giving CBD in your pets food or treat – Allow 45 – 90 minutes
For more chronic issues, it may take 2 to 4 weeks for full results.
